Nothing like a quick, marvelous weekend recap!
Eric joined a local band as a bassist pretty recently, and Friday night he played their first local show with them. So of course, I went to see him play live for the first time at a local dive bar.
So I made the drive up Saturday afternoon for a late lunch and to hang out for a bit. I met the three of them at Rock Lobster‘s Queen St. location.
The service wasn’t fantastic (our food took a loooong time to come out) but the food was pretty good, so I’ll take it. Obviously, the company was the best part! I love the conversations that happen at blogger meetups
Afterwards, we wandered up Queen St. and ended up walking through Trinity Bellwoods Park.
I had to head home shortly afterwards, but it was a great afternoon – I always love having the chance to hang out with Davida, and being able to meet Ang and Cassie in person was awesome. Seriously a great group of girls, and totally worth the sunburn and the parking ticket I acquired (oops).

On my way up to Toronto I dropped Atticus off at my parents, so I headed back there for dinner. On the way back, I had a slight heart attack moment – the gas light in the car came on when I was driving down a desolate part of the highway with 2% battery in my phone (so if I ran out of gas I wasn’t going to be calling anyone). Fortunately, I managed to find a gas station before I find myself stranded. Note to self: do not get on the 403 with less than 1/4 tank, because it can take a little while to come across a rest stop.

I hung around there for a bit, and then eventually made it home where the pug and I both crashed for a good nine hours – it was amazing.
a lot of errand running and catching up on things around the house.
Look, I bought a maxi skirt!
Sundays are not complete with some downtime:
It’s supposed to rain all week, so I made sure to get outside and enjoy the sunshine yesterday…with the pug, of course.
Somewhat all over the place, but definitely all the elements of a fantastic weekend: a bit of travel, friends, good food, shopping, and relaxation. What else could you want?
Have a good one!
