Note: My weekend consisted of a lot of snow and a lot of adorable pug pictures. You have been warned Wink

Book Sale I went with the hope of starting my Christmas shopping, and ended up buying a necklace and a cookbook for myself. Oops.

Pomegranate Martini Pomegranate Martini. A good way to start a Saturday night.

Scrabble I’m all about the raging weekends, of course.

Pug Help At least I had an adorable Scrabble partner.

Chocolate Covered Almonds NINE CHOCOLATE COVERED ALMONDS IS NOT A SERVING SIZE. Ahem.

Snowy Needless to say, my plans to get groceries and go to the gym were cancelled. About 2 feet of snow in 24 hours.

Pug Snow And the pug got to explore snow for the first time.

Just Keep Swimming Every time I look at the picture, all I can think is “just keep swimming, just keep swimming…”

Dinner

Salad, rice, bacon and chicken dinner. When in doubt, always add bacon.

Enjoy your Monday!

<— What did you get up to this weekend?

<— When in doubt, add…

<— Have you started Christmas shopping yet?

<— What’s the last board game you played?

  1. I am laughing so hard at your pug! He is the most adorable thing! I say the snow picture should be your Christmas card this year.

  2. Ahh I love the picture of your pug in the snow. So funny. Also, all I have to say to that last meal is 1000x yes.

  3. I can’t believe how much snow you guys got!!! It’s so funny that I’m only an hour and a half away and we got literally nothing haha. I hope the roads are better today!

When in doubt, add almond butter.

    • Eric’s mom was heading to Toronto yesterday, and she told us that half an hour outside of London people had green lawns…and they spent a good hour digging their car out of the snow in the morning! Insane.

  4. Wow, you did get a lot of snow! We haven’t gotten any snow just yet, but it’s been super cold here the past few days. This weekend we went to my parents’ house for dinner (on Saturday) and yesterday, we just relaxed and did some cooking. Justin also light a fire in the fireplace!

  5. When in doubt add hot sauce! haha.
Pug in the snow! Ah so cute. I can and can’t wait for our first snow. If I’m off work, bring it on!

  6. Lol, I’ve always wondered who the jackass is that comes up with the serving size. I was reading the ingredients on the back of pkg of sausages lately, and ONE serving size was 2/3 a sausage. WHAT THE HELL.

HAHAHAHA those photos of Atti just made me almost pee my pants. So funny.

When in doubt, add vodka. Or any alcohol. And chocolate. Bacon too.

  7. Omigosh. I can’t even handle that picture of the pug running through the snow with his inflatable pillow — talk about breaking the trail Ohh thank you for that laugh on this dreary Monday morning.

My weekend was… over in the blink of an eye. Is it Saturday yet? The cold took its claws out of us, so I spent a good chunk of my weekend on the slopes, and another good chunk in the theatre. I still can’t believe that Catching Fire was 2.5 hours long But I managed to make it through without feeling like I was going to jump out of my skin, so you know it’s gotta be a gooder

And when in doubt… just add almond butter and/or chocolate!

  9. Omg, I am waking Joe up with those pictures of Atti right now!! Did he like the snow?? He looks so cute and funny in the just keep swimming picture I haven’t started Christmas shopping yet, BUT I did make my list yesterday while waiting for Catching Fire to start, so I have an idea of what I’m getting everyone, which is usually the hardest part for me. Now I just have to buckle down and start gathering everything haha. Good thing I have some extra time this week When in doubt, add cinnamon or chocolate! Have a great Monday, love!

    • He liked eating it, but I don’t think he was quite so eager to dive into it again after that first time And you’re further along than me! I definitely need more ideas.

  10. Jesus, I can NOT handle Atti swimming in the snow with that pillow, Seriously, if I’d been there I would have died by laughing. Lollollol!!!
If in doubt add CHOCOLATE….I am Swiss after all
I spent my weekend inside with my girlfriends doing the same as you – looking at the snow, playing, chatting, eating and drinking Perfect in my books.

  11. Two FEET of snow in 24 hours? I can’t. Stop it. I do not want to hear these things!! Minus the snow part, it seems like a pretty great and relaxing weekend I hope you have a great monday!

  12. Love the bacon addition. Good choice. For me, when in doubt, add KETCHUP. To everything. I love it.

Have I started xmas shopping? Bahahahahha good one ;). Nope. Definitely not. I fail.

  13. “I went with the hope of starting my Christmas shopping, and ended up buying a necklace and a cookbook for myself.” –> I feel like that happens me much more often than not. Oh my goodness I can’t handle the adorableness that is your puggle. Especially him buried in the snow. It’s supposed to snow on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday back home, and I’m SO excited because it never actually snows in Houston…it just pours really cold rain.

  14. OMG Atti in the cone..in the snow…I die.
I cannot stand when anything has that kind of serving size. Stacey’s Pita Chips and I have that beef. WHO EATS 8 CHIPS? NO ONE.

  15. 9 chocolate almonds are NOT enough. You need to stop with the Atti pictures until I can come over and play. It’s like torture and pure joy looking at them haha

  16. Your pug is so cute! We don’t get snow here.

Last board game was probably Apples to Apples.

  17. OMG now I’m craving chocolate covered almonds…. I can’t believe it’s snowing where you are! Brr! I am so glad I’ll be skipping out on winter for a month

  18. That pic of your pug in the snow is so funny! It does remind me of “just keep swimming!” My pom loves the snow, until the snow attaches to fur. Then she doesn’t like it anymore. I wish we got snow here in WA. Not yet tho, just the mountains! I need to start X-mas shopping!

  19. Haha, I must dedicate my post tomorrow to you- its all about serving sizes and its an AMEN to that picture! Atti in the snow…I can’t even. I don’t even know where to begin. Speaking of Xmas shopping, I might start on it today… or wait until Boxing day (Do you guys celebrate that? aka our version of black friday)

If that chicken is dark meat…that meal is golden!

PS Ive finished exams now so need a good book recommendation… no horror please
Arman @ thebigmansworld recently posted..Marvelously finitoMy Profile

    • We do have Boxing Day, but it’s the day after Christmas. It’s a really good day to do post-Christmas gift card shopping! And it was white meat…but it was bone in and skin-on, which is almost as good as dark meat.
Book recommendations? Hmmmm…The Fault In Our Stars was really good. Also 11/22/63 by Stephen King, which I promise isn’t actually a horror book!

  20. Oh lordy that is too much snow too soon! The pic of the pup in the snow melts my heart (some pun intended I guess? ). He must have been thinking, whaaaaa the heck is this cold business I have to now battle? Too adorable.
The first time Caleb experienced snow he was also very confused, frustrated that he had to now navigate through the wet, cold mess and then he had some fun in there!

    • haha I’m sure it was something like that going through his mind! I don’t think he hated it, but I don’t think it’s his favourite thing ever either

  21. My Christmas shopping starts black Friday! I’ve already bought myself a few things though

  22. Oh my gosh, poor Atti!! He must have been so cold, haha. I bet he doesn’t want to back out there. That was too funny.

I know you probably aren’t thrilled about the snow but I would actually love it! Only for a few days, of course.

  23. Sounds like a relaxing weekend. And what better way to start than with a delicious martini! My weekend was very quiet, but I did get in a nice walk. No Christmas shopping though. Also, the pup in the snow looks adorable!

  24. Just keep swimming! Hahaha! Love it! And yeah, I also love the fact that that is in Canada and NOT HERE! I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaate snow!

When in doubt, just add peanut butter! …and chocolate…AND BACON!

I haven’t started Christmas shopping yet. Heck, I don’t even know what I want to get anyone! Hoping to find some inspiration this weekend before Cyber Monday because I most definitely will NOT be out with the crazies on Black Friday!
